The conference “Promuovere lo sport motoristico, promuovere i territori”

September,2 Innovatour came from Monza, the three stops’ road show of Associazione Città dei Motori, under the supervision of ANCI. The chance to launch, during the Italy’s GP of F1, new digital instruments to promote the tourism sector in the municipalities integrated in progetto Rete Nazionale Città dei Motori, co-financed by Mibact, of which are already part 26 municipalities owning a relevant motorcycle heritage. Many appointments dedicated to innovation, road safety and motor sports will take place with the specific aim to boost tourism.

The “fil rouge” of the speeches during the conference “Promuovere lo sport motoristico, promuovere i territori” focused on how to create synergies between events of sport, companies, cultural institutions, museums in the sector and territories in which they are hosted. Representatives of institutions and of the world of sport and tourism provided recommendations on how to promote and enhance the excellences of the Italian motor sector.

During his greetings’ speech, the Sindaco di Monza Dario Allevi described the aim of the promotional action made by Città dei Motori: “The racetrack and the Italy’s Gran Premio of Formula1 introduced Monza in the world. Attraction for motors encourage ten of thousands of fans to come to our platforms and cities from every continent. The sport linked to motors – added the major of the administrative centre of Brianza – has the power to become a great occasion for the promotion of territory that need to be catched and developed every year, organizing side events that can be an efficient bridge between the circuit and the city”.

According to the vice-president and vicar of ANCI and delegate of sport Roberto Pella, the synergies to develop promotional events are of primary importance: “Is our purpose to create a collaboration between ANCI and ACI to promote, through the Associazione Città dei Motori all those areas that are rarely visited but that contribute to organize motorsport and cultural events in the sector”, but also for spread the culture of the road safety: “ We think of bold measures to create awareness of the importance of safe driving, considering that today a great amount of accidents is due to lack of attention or ill-advised behavior of drivers. Together with ACI – Pella continued – we thought to offer on the road and to schools information initiatives handled by the Municipalities and its majors”.

The General Secretary of ACI Francesco Tufarelli agreed with the urgent necessity to pursue “the aim of crating synergies between ANCI, ACI and the territories with the support of Città dei Motori to promote motorsport and tourism. The world of motors drives the national and local economy, and it also helps in promoting the country’s excellences. This fact will be even more tangible thanks to trials scheduled for 2018 whose specific focus is on the development of the territory planning races and events related to the two and four wheels”.

The President of Associazione Città dei Motori and Major of Maranello Massimiliano Morini mentioned the main goal of the initiative promoted by Innovatour, such as to disseminate innovative tools based on digital technology, “through which Città dei Motori plan to increase the attractive touristic and entrepreneurial potential for companies operating in the motor industry”.

The launch of the digital Apps of Città dei Motori

The first stop of Innovatour in Monza was an opportunity for the launch of the Digital Apps of Città dei Motori to the Motor Web Museum, ready to be free downloadable on smartphones or tablets or even virtually experienced through the web firsthand, thanks to the sophisticated interactivity aspect of Realtà Aumentata, to run – for example - on the F1 track or to join some prodigious market brands.

The Art Director of Materiaviva enterprise Bernardo Clericetti introduced the App Città dei Motori that provides online information about tourist facilities of territories linked to the motor brand Made in Italy and that carries the visitor through the exploration of the history and the motor areas branded Made in Italy: two and four wheels, aerospace and navy, official and citizens circuits, sporting events and historical re-enactments.

With the App Città dei Motori you can discover the most interesting events and locations of the motor and tourism sector and let you guided in selecting places and events that need not to be missed. Moreover you can use your interactive geolocalised audioguide to access to further exclusive contents that will automatically turn on nearby your destination.

Il Pullman Azzurro and the measures adopted by the Polizia Stradale

It is of high relevance to underline the significant participation of the partner of Innovatour: Pullman Azzurro of the Polizia Stradale in Monza, that during all the three stops of the road show, will host an itinerant multimedia educational school classroom to teach to children and adults the rules about security.

Annalisa Vallerani e Mirella Pontiggia, chiefs of the security patrol of Polizia Stradale have described these two important sport events held during the 2017 edition of Mille Miglia and Giro d’Italia through some video footage shot by the same Polstrada.

The next stops of Innovatour

The next date of Innovatour is scheduled for September, 9 in Mandello del Lario (LC) on the lake of Como, where will be also presented by means of the truck of the Association the video of the first stop tour in Monza.

In the homeland of Moto Guzzi a debate on the theme “Security within the tourism sector in the era of technology”. Among the main actors you can find start-up and association of the hotel industry worldwide. In the same days , from 8th to 10th of September will take place the International Motoraduno of Città della Moto Guzzi.

The last stop of Innovatour is foreseen on Saturday, 16th of September in Arede, historical location of Alfa Romeo where the trail of the former test track for the auto of Biscione hosts today one of the main Italian system dedicated to driver’s education, that will be the main subject discussed during the whole day.
